This project begins January 19th and ends February 6th. Students will count a box of Alpha-Bits cereal and write down a final tally count for each group! Complete a tally count for each vowel and then determine if E is the vowel with the largest count.

Pack up the Prairie Schooner! This virtual 2,000-mile journey from Independence, Missouri to Willamette Valley, Oregon embarks January 20 and ends February 20. Collaborative "classroom families" make decisions about traveling the trail using scenarios developed by project moderators.

This project has an open enrollment. The links to the project Web pages are due by March 15, 2004. The time for completion is up to the particular teacher. Each class will submit a group project as a Web page about the story of their neighborhood, complete with pictures, maps and diagrams.
